Clients are responsible for contacting their health insurance company prior to our meeting to understand their mental health benefits and that they keep current insurance information on file. Clients are ultimately financially responsible for paying the agreed upon fees and all claims denied or recouped by their insurance company. Clients can find the contact information for their insurance company on the back of their insurance card.

Benefit Disclaimer for In-Network Clients: As a courtesy, I will verify your eligibility and benefits and provide you with a summary prior to the intake appointment. This is an estimation of costs and coverage, final decisions about your coverage and costs are determined by your insurance company at the time your insurance company processes a claim after the visit. If you have concerns about your coverage please contact your insurance company directly. Clients should be aware that changes in their coverage (switching to a new insurance company or plan) may effect our work together, and in such cases, referrals to other providers may be necessary to ensure the appropriate level of care. Please keep in mind that not all health insurance companies cover telehealth.

Out of Network Clients:  If you are not covered under these insurance plans but have out-of-network benefits it is likely that you will be able to obtain some reimbursement. I can bill out-of-network for some insurance plans (except United Behavioral Health). If I am unable to bill on your behalf, I will provide you with a superbill (where clients can seek reimbursement from their insurance company). Due to the lack of administrative support, I do not enter into Single Case Agreements. Clients are responsible for deductibles and remaining co-pays. It is a client's responsibility to understand their financial obligation and coverage as I am not contracted with their insurance company. Clients will be provided with a “No Surprises” estimate of treatment costs.
